Privacy Policy

How LockInVibe handles focus data, blocking permissions, purchases, and your privacy choices.

The short version

Your focus setup and activity stay on your device. We do not sell personal data, share it for targeted advertising, or use advertising trackers. Adapty processes limited device, paywall, and purchase information for Pro access. Firebase Crashlytics receives crash and diagnostic information to help us fix failures. Cloudflare processes limited technical information to deliver and protect the website.

1. Scope

LockInVibe is an independently operated software product available internationally. This Privacy Policy explains how LockInVibe ("LockInVibe," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the LockInVibe mobile application, website, support, and related services.

References to LockInVibe identify the product and its operator; they do not represent that LockInVibe is an incorporated company. This policy applies worldwide. Regional sections explain additional rights that may apply based on where you live.

2. Information handled by LockInVibe

Information stored on your device

LockInVibe stores the information needed to provide its focus features locally on your device, including:

  • Blockers, selected apps or categories, website groups, and schedules.
  • Tasks, focus-session history, completion status, streaks, and statistics.
  • App preferences, permission status, and Free or Pro entitlement state.

We do not operate a LockInVibe account system or upload this focus content to a LockInVibe server.

App, purchase, and diagnostic information

We use Adapty to load paywall products, process purchase status, restore purchases, and determine whether the premium access level is active. Adapty may process an anonymous profile or installation identifier, app and device information, store and storefront information, paywall interactions, product identifiers, purchase receipts, subscription status, entitlement events, and billing diagnostics. LockInVibe configures Adapty not to collect advertising identifiers or retain IP addresses for this integration.

We use Firebase Crashlytics in the Android and iOS apps to diagnose crashes. It automatically processes crash traces, relevant app state, device and OS information, Crashlytics installation UUIDs, and Firebase installation IDs. On Android, a related Firebase sessions component also processes app and device metadata and session timing for crash quality metrics. A crash trace can contain technical details about what the app was doing when it failed. We do not intentionally attach your selected apps, website lists, focus content, email address, or a custom user ID to crash reports. Crashlytics is used for app reliability, not advertising or tracking.

LockInVibe does not receive or store your full payment-card details. Apple or Google processes the transaction through your store account.

Website technical information

The LockInVibe website is delivered and protected by Cloudflare. When you visit, Cloudflare may process technical information such as your IP address, request URL and time, routing information, browser or device configuration, and security events. The LockInVibe website does not use advertising pixels or client-side advertising analytics.

Information you provide

If you contact support, we receive the email address you use and the contents of your message, including any diagnostic or transaction information you choose to provide. Please do not send passwords, full payment-card numbers, or information that is not needed to resolve your request.

3. Blocking permissions

On Android, LockInVibe uses Accessibility access to detect when an app you selected for blocking is opened and to display the blocking experience. LockInVibe is not designed to read messages, passwords, form entries, or other typed text.

On Apple platforms, LockInVibe uses Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity APIs to let you select and shield apps or categories. Apple provides privacy-preserving selection tokens; LockInVibe and its Screen Time extensions use those tokens to enforce the restrictions you configure.

You control these permissions through your device settings. Revoking a required permission may prevent the related blocking feature from working.

4. How and why information is used

  • Provide app blocking, scheduling, tasks, focus sessions, and statistics.
  • Load localized products and prices from the appropriate app store.
  • Complete, validate, and restore purchases.
  • Keep Pro features available while your entitlement is active.
  • Protect the service, investigate failures, and improve reliability.
  • Respond to support, privacy, and legal requests.
  • Deliver the website, prevent abuse, and maintain security.

Legal bases in the EEA, United Kingdom, and similar jurisdictions

Where a law requires a legal basis, we rely on the following bases as appropriate:

  • Contract: to deliver the app, provide purchases and Pro access, restore entitlements, and respond to service requests.
  • Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve a privacy-minimizing service, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation: to comply with tax, accounting, regulatory, court, and lawful government requirements.
  • Consent: where applicable law or an operating system requires permission or consent. You may withdraw consent or revoke device permissions at any time, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

5. Service providers and disclosures

We disclose information only as needed to operate the service, complete a transaction you request, comply with law, or protect users and the service.

  • Adapty: paywalls, purchase analytics, subscription status, and entitlement delivery.
  • Apple: App Store purchases, refunds, Family Controls, Screen Time APIs, and related platform services.
  • Google: Google Play purchases and refunds, Android platform services, and Firebase Crashlytics crash reporting.
  • Cloudflare: website hosting, delivery, performance, and security.
  • Authorities and legal recipients: when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, users, or the service.

These providers may act as processors or independent controllers depending on the service and applicable law. Their own privacy notices explain their practices and available choices.

6. No sale or targeted advertising

LockInVibe does not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising and do not use it to deliver targeted advertising. We have not sold or shared personal information for those purposes during the preceding 12 months. We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information.

7. Retention and deletion

Locally stored focus data remains on your device until you delete it in the app, clear the app's data, or uninstall the app. Because this content is not uploaded to a LockInVibe server, we generally cannot retrieve or delete it remotely.

Support communications are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain appropriate records, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Firebase says Crashlytics keeps crash traces and associated installation identifiers for 90 days before starting removal from live and backup systems. Purchase, entitlement, and other technical records are retained by Apple, Google, Adapty, and Cloudflare according to their services, settings, and legal obligations.

You can request assistance with information associated with LockInVibe or Adapty by emailing contact@lockinvibe.com. Store transaction records must generally be managed through your Apple or Google account.

8. Your controls and privacy rights

Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a privacy regulator. You may also ask what categories of information we process, where it came from, why it is used, and which categories of recipients receive it.

  • Revoke Accessibility, Screen Time, notification, overlay, or other permissions in your device settings.
  • Delete locally stored blockers, tasks, schedules, and session history in the app where available.
  • Cancel a subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
  • Submit an access, correction, deletion, objection, or portability request by contacting us.

We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify and complete a request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Rights are not absolute, and we may retain information when legally permitted or required. If we deny a request, you may ask us to reconsider and may complain to the privacy authority where you live.

We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.

Additional regional information

  • EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland: you may exercise rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent, and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
  • United States: where state privacy law applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, or portability and may appeal a denied request. You may use an authorized agent where permitted. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
  • Canada: you may request access to and correction of personal information, withdraw consent where applicable, and challenge our compliance through the contact below.
  • Philippines: you may exercise applicable rights to be informed, object, access, correct, erase or block, obtain portability, claim damages, and file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
  • Other regions: we will honor comparable rights required by the privacy law that applies to you, including rights available in Australia, Brazil, and other supported territories.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. International processing

LockInVibe and its providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, including the United States and other locations where they operate. Privacy protections in those countries may differ from those in your country.

Where required, providers use recognized transfer safeguards, such as adequacy decisions, approved contractual clauses, or applicable data-transfer frameworks. Adapty describes its transfer safeguards in its privacy policy. You may contact us for more information relevant to your request.

11. Children's privacy

LockInVibe is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Where local law requires parental consent at an older age, a minor should use LockInVibe only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as LockInVibe, applicable law, or our service providers change. We will publish the updated policy here and revise the "Last updated" date.
